Tooth Be Told officially certified by The Vegan Society

Tooth Be Told is excited to announce that our Mint Charcoal Toothpaste is officially certified by The Vegan Society. 

When we first thought of the idea of launching Tooth Be Told, we had two main goals. Create beautiful zero plastic packaging and to get 'The Vegan Tick'! 

Both of these goals were challenging in their own ways, most keeping toothpaste fresh without plastic is difficult and the green tick... well, it's not as simple as a small form. 

The formula for Tooth Be Told has taken many turns. From making the first prototype with ingredients from eBay to finally getting the perfect blend, keeping 100% Vegan was the main priority. 

Not only did our Suppliers have to submit details, so did their suppliers and their suppliers. We had to prove that our ingredients were Vegan from source. The amount of ingredients that typically involve animal 'membrane' in the process is unbelievable. 

After removing, replacing and multiple taste testing days (thanks Tom, John and Kass!), we were finally happy with a toothpaste that tasted amazing, looks beautiful and is officially certified by the Vegan Society!

We've written a blog that talks about the loose rules in marketing of using the word 'Vegan'... Basically, if it's not certified, it may not be vegan from source. We now really appreciate all brands that take the time and effort to do things properly.
